I live in Londonderry, right along route 100 near the intersection of
Middletown Road. I currently work in the tourism industry teaching fly
fishing for Orvis in the summer, and teaching snowboarding for Stratton
in the winter. It’s a fun way to make a living, but like many seasonal
workers I struggle with the low wages and intermittent work schedule
of the seasonal tourism industry.
I represent the Town of Londonderry on the Windham Regional Commission
(WRC), serving 27 towns in Southern Vermont. I have been elected to the
WRC Executive Board, Chair the Energy Committee, and sit on the Project
Review Committee. I have worked on critical issues including ski area
development, affordable housing, aging in place, restoration of industrial
lands, review of Vermont Yankee, regional energy initiatives, and oversight
of the WRC budget. I have worked to bridge differences between diverse
constituencies, and have a proven record of building consensus on challenging
issues.
Before moving to Vermont I worked as a staff photographer and then Chief
of Photography for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF/WWE). I joined
the company when it was a small family enterprise, and helped it grow
to become a multinational powerhouse and a leader in vertically integrated
marketing, valued at more than a billion dollars. I’m proud of the innovations
I developed, including a vast royalty free image archive that remains
second to none, and an efficient image generation program that served
two monthly magazines, more than a dozen web sites, all advertising and
corporate needs, licensed product and product packaging, and a book publishing
division. I look forward to bringing this kind of integrated approach
to state government.
